Work Area, Target Lists and Source Folders

Root folders for organizing and browsing, target lists, target folders and source directory logic.

1. Work area management and permissions

Work areas are the root folders the app uses for organizing and browsing. Access them from the main screen via Work Area Management. Some folders need special access (SAF); the app will ask you to grant it. You can add, rename or delete work areas and re-grant access when needed.

2. Target list management

Target lists group target folders. You can create multiple lists and set one as active. Manage them from Manage Target Lists on the main screen.

3. Target folder management

Target folders are where organized files are moved. They are managed in Setup under the active target list. Each can have a display name and naming rule; for AI face search, reference face images must be set in Setup.

4. Source directory (source folder) logic

Source folders define where the “folder to be organized” lives (name and path). Add them in Manage Source Folders. The app can auto-detect common paths. When you choose “folder to be organized” in Organize or Organize with AI, you pick one of these or browse to a folder.
